Having my mind set on some type of shock hoop I drew out  a design on 1/4" steel plate. The circles you see were going  to be speed holes cut out to give it that cool look. The square drawn out at the top is where the shock would mount, and the rails running down the sides are the legs. I planed to fuse in some 1.75" steel tubing that would I weld to the frame for support. But things just weren't looking good, in fact it looked like crap! I also thought that the steel plate alone would not be rigid enough and flex back and forth as the shocks went through their motions. I also thought over time this design might rip the mounts from the frame due to metal fatigue.

So it was kind of back to the drawing board for the forth time, well sort of. I did like the metal plate design so maybe it was something I could work with, or not?
